The KCL, while primarily a housing co-operative, also serves the community as a family support group and as a promoter of the integration of Filipino and Australian cultures. Among the regular activities are: bi-monthly general meetings, hosting a public Christmas party with the neighbours and the Filipino community in the area, participation in Clean-Up Australia Day, and participation in the annual Philippine Independence Day celebrations.
